Genesis BBQ Global Opens in India
Two Stores Launch at Once in Bengaluru

 

Genesis BBQ Global has entered the Indian market, opening stores in Bengaluru's HSR Layout and Koramangala neighborhoods on the same day. Starting with Bengaluru, a major city in southern India, the company plans to expand into Hyderabad, Chennai, Vellore, and beyond.

 

The first store sits in HSR Layout, a planned township and one of the busier three-way junction areas in Bengaluru.The second opened in Koramangala, the city's best-known dining and commercial district. As the IT industry has grown here, the neighborhood has drawn talent from all over the country. Both stores run as QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) locations, aimed at young professionals and families eating out.

 

The menu carries over familiar favorites — Golden Fried, Secret Sauce, Hot Spicy, Soy Garlic, Honey Garlic, Cheesling, and Red Chak Chak — along with a new addition for Indian customers: Mala Hot Chicken. Cooked-to-order preparation, something not previously offered at QSR locations, widens the range of chicken on the menu. Chicken is sold both by the piece and in family packs, giving customers more ways to order. With vegetarians making up a large share of the Indian market, the menu also includes a vegetarian burger and Golden Cauliflower. Korean dishes such as tteokbokki, rosé tteokbokki, and kimchi fried rice round things out, broadening the K-food experience on offer.
