Genesis BBQ Group Donates KRW 100 Million to Team Korea Ahead of Asian Games

 

 

Genesis BBQ Group donated KRW 100 million to support South Korea’s national athletes ahead of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Chairman Yoon Hong-geun presented the donation at the Jincheon National Training Center before the Asian Games Media Day. The event was attended by Chairman Yoon, Korean Sport & Olympic Committee (KSOC) President Ryu Seung-min, and other officials. The donation is intended to encourage Team Korea athletes who are training hard for the Asian Games and help them perform at their best on the international stage. This follows bb.q’s special meal support for the national team last month. Genesis BBQ Group provided meals for about 500 athletes and coaching staff training at the Jincheon National Training Center. The meals included Crunch Boneless Crackers, cheese balls, and Lemon Fizz.

The KSOC will also do its best to help our athletes prepare for the Games and perform at their highest level.”

 

 

Genesis BBQ Group has continued to support Korean athletes competing on the global stage. In 2021, Genesis BBQ Group became the first chicken franchise company to be named an official sponsor of the KSOC in the chicken franchise category. Since then, the company has supported Team Korea at major international events, including the Tokyo Olympics, Beijing Winter Olympics, and Hangzhou Asian Games. In 2023, Genesis BBQ Group donated KRW 50 million to Team Korea ahead of the Hangzhou Asian Games. This year, the company increased its support to KRW 100 million for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. Genesis BBQ Group also supports the development of young athletes through the Korea University Volleyball Federation and youth sports programs. More recently, the company has expanded its support by sponsoring LPGA players Hae Ran Ryu and Yoon Ina.
