bb.q Sponsored Athlete Hae Ran Ryu Wins the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Claiming Her First Major Title

Hae Ran Ryu, an official sponsored athlete of bb.q, captured the title at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, one of the LPGA Tour’s major championships, earning her first career major title and the fourth LPGA Tour victory of her career. In the final round, held on June 29 (KST) at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Minnesota, USA, Ryu carded a 2-under-par 70 to finish at 13-under-par 275, securing the championship. She also earned the winner’s prize of USD 1.95 million.

The victory marks Ryu’s first win of the 2026 LPGA season and her first major championship since being named the 2023 LPGA Rookie of the Year. It also marks the second consecutive year that a Korean player has won the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, following Yang Hee-young’s victory last year. Despite a delay of more than three hours in the final round due to severe weather, Ryu remained composed throughout the day. After briefly sharing the lead on the front nine, she regained momentum on the back nine with key birdies and held on to finish as the tournament champion with a par on the 18th hole.
Korean players also delivered an impressive overall performance, with Yoon Ina finishing runner-up, while Kim Sei-young and Kim A-lim tied for eighth place, placing four Korean players inside the tournament’s top 10.

bb.q extends its sincere congratulations to Hae Ran Ryu on this remarkable achievement and will continue to support and cheer her on as she competes at the highest level of professional golf around the world.
