Successful Opening of the 2nd store in the Philippines Following the 1st Flagship store in Manila
In November 2022, the Philippines successfully opened its 1st flagship store at the Manila High Street Mall, attracting an average of over 700 visitors per day and gaining immense popularity. High Street, located in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Manila's upscale commercial district, is a top tourist destination with a high foot traffic of visitors due to numerous events and festivals in city.
BBQ established a Premium Cafe type with a total of 160 seats, generating an average monthly revenue of approximately $200,000, well exceeding the expected break-even point.
The most popular menu in Philippines is "UFO Chicken", widely shared on social media, consisting of two flavors of chicken, "Cheeseling" and "Secret Chicken". Also it is able to enjoy chicken dipping in melted cheese like fondue, with the added touch of dry ice to create a captivating smoky effect. Other popular items include the signature Golden Olive Chicken and Bulgogi Bibimbap.
Building on the success of the 1st flagship store, BBQ opened its 2nd branch at Robinson Magnolia Mall in early July. This Premium Cafe, comprising about 100 seats(including a terrace), is located on the 3rd floor of Robinson's shopping mall at the heart of Quezon City. Magnolia Mall serves as a major hub for various customers, such as office workers, couples, and families, attracting over 400 visitors daily.
The 2nd branch has a design inspired by Korea's latest model, the Village type, exuding a sophisticated and modern ambiance.
With this momentum, BBQ has ambitious plans to accelerate its store openings in the Philippines. Currently, there are approximately 10 locations under construction, and more than 30 candidate sites are awaiting franchise agreements, set to open sequentially in the second half of the year.
While many branches are set to open in Manila's central area, BBQ is also targeting other regions like Clark, Cebu, and Boracay, key tourist destinations, for future openings. In no time, BBQ Chicken will be readily available throughout various parts of the Philippines.
